Welcome to Market Harborough Auctions Ltd

Market Harborough Livestock Market has always been part of the market town of Market Harborough and was re-located in 1996 from the central town location (which is now Sainburys Car Park) to the independent site at Foxton Road, Lubenham where it operates every Wednesday morning.

**IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT**

Dear all

It is with a mixture of sadness and gratitude that we announce that the market will not reopen this year after 34 years at the Foxton site.

This decision has not been taken lightly and after careful consideration with the continuing fall in sheep numbers locally and the challenges facing the livestock sector, the market is regrettably not sustainable going forward.

We wish to sincerely thank the buyers and loyal vendors who have supported the market over the years and in particular a huge thank you to our incredible staff who have been the cornerstone of the Market operation.

This is a sad day for all at E A Lane & Sons who have battled to keep the Market site open despite all the pressures on small livestock markets nationally and we send our heartfelt gratitude and thanks to everyone who have supported the Market over such a long period of time.

Our Land Agency business continues to grow and we continue to be available to offer advice on all land and planning matters by contacting our Leicester office as usual and we hope to keep in touch with all our valued Market clients going forward.

With kind regards,

Richard & Graham Nichols
